Palmerston Council must spend $76,500 to improve safety as part of an enforceable undertaking it agreed to in exchange for having nine charges dropped that were laid after the near-drowning of a worker in 2020, NT Work Safe said.

NT WorkSafe executive director Peggy Cheong said in a statement Palmerston Council submitted the enforceable undertaking (EU) after being charged in August 2022 with nine offences under work health and safety laws.
