Alice Springs staff members of the Batchelor Institute of Indigenous Tertiary Education were flown to Darwin and put up in hotel rooms for two nights at the public’s expense for its Christmas party, sources have told the NT Independent.
The troubled institute was the subject of a review conducted by the Office of the Independent Commissioner Against Corruption, which began in late September 2021 – which was to look at policy and procedures, “rather than investigate individual matters” – and given to the institute in draft form in mid-2022, later released publicly in February.
Waste of money! close it down!

Batchelor Institute needs to advertise how many staff and contractors they have on hand
versus
how many live, real (as they actually exist) , enrolled students they have!
Dont be surprised by 1 student to 30 staff ratio!
Was a lost cause 30 years ago, nothing has changed except the amount of tax payers money wasted.
This demonstrates why Australia voted NO to the voice as Aboriginal organisations are industrial money laundering systems. Long term Aboriginal activists like, Anderson,Langton, Burney, Dodson etc have had long enough in these jobs, they need to retire as they are out of touch.
