The former Howard Springs workers’ camp has not been damaged by flood evacuees, Chief Minister Natasha Fyles has said, which seemingly contradicts a government statement that there had been some damage to the “infrastructure and facilities” – as well as sources confirming damage – while police would not officially provide details of the nature and extent of potential crime happening at the centre.
