An investigation by an outside panel found a Charles Darwin University academic had plagiarised his students’ work, contradicting an internal investigation’s conclusion that was also supported by the vice-chancellor, but the university has not explained how the original inquiry found the former professor had not stolen his student’s work.
In an email to all staff last Thursday CDU vice-chancellor Professor Scott Bowman said that shortly after he commenced at the university – which was May 2021 – he received a complaint from two higher degree by research students about plagiarism of their work by an academic who previously worked with them at the university.
Congratulations to CDU! They have taken a page out of the NT Governments administration.
