Authorities are urging people to be vigilant following a series of vehicle break-ins in Wanguri on Sunday night.
Police Watch commander Senior Sergeant Vicki Koum said at least five parked vehicles in an underground car park of a unit complex in Gsell St in Wanguri had their windows smashed between 5:45pm and 9:30pm on Sunday.
Snr Sgt Koum did not mention if anything was stolen from the vehicles but did say police will be reviewing CCTV footage captured within the vicinity during the time of the offending.
“The CCTV in the area that’ll obviously be obtained, and it’ll be reviewed. So hopefully, if that occurs, there will be something on the footage that will lead us further with our inquiries,” she told the ABC Radio Darwin Monday morning.
“The NT Police are seeking information from the public that may have been in the area, when there’s any suspicious activity or have any information that will lead to apprehending the perpetrators in this offending.”
