A young boy who was reportedly attacked by a crocodile while swimming in Kakadu National Park on Saturday has been airlifted to hospital in Darwin in a critical condition following the incident.

CareFlight officials told the ABC on Monday that it had sent a helicopter to the park around 9pm on Saturday night to pick up the nine-year-old boy after a request from NT Health.
