She instead responded to something she was not asked.
~Of course she did because she doesn’t seem to grasp comprehension basics, on top of that she uses that as a deflection strategy like many politicians do.
~What is the point in having merit selection processes if you are free to ignore them to appoint someone who worked for one of your CLP MLA mates instead? What a waste of time, money and resources.
~Just bin them and stop pretending. Imagine how the meritorious candidates are feeling now? What a joke.
~This sense of entitlement has already been exposed by MCB when she commented on the fact of Alastair Shields accepting corporate patronage and gifts and how he too thinks this is okay for him and the other people who are supposed to regulate those same corporate interests.
~Boothby’s reasoning as to why this is okay was telling: Everyone else is doing it so I want my piece of the pie too.
~It’s also the same at the DPP Office, as we have seen.
~CLP Leadershit has already sanctioned must worse behaviour by their refusals to the public, to the media, to their own supporters, to other MLAs and to the many public servants and others who should be in jobs on merit.
~They’re in power now and they don’t care about us/you at all.
~They only care about themselves.
~We kind of feel a bit sorry for Ms Voumard now, you’ve made her job so much more difficult being chosen like that.
She did what ministers are supposed to do: make decisions, I realise you think that strange.
Thanks for your insightful one liner comment. Yawn.
Mate I live for Boof’s one liners! So much pertinent wisdom in a short blast!
Yeah, I suppose he does have his finger on the pulse of multi-layered political theory and the implications those choices have for the people who elected their representatives.
Sorry Boof, our household stands corrected. All the great ministers/politicians “make decisions”:
Hitler, Mussolini, Stalin, Pol Pot, Nixon, Pinochet, Mao……
Contempt for the public voice once again reflects why “our” NT remains on knees. Our futures awaiting result of Federal Election. Even so, territorian(s) have little option other than to accept or depart. Self Govt under ‘current’ CLP / ALP . . . A DISASTER. To make things easier for we mendicant citizens . . . why not just send around one or two high level Senior Police Officers to collect a monthly “purse”? That way number of Public Servants reduced and the ever growing Territory debt maybe, restrained?
Clown Town is alive and well.
What a tangled web is woven!!!
Can the CLP call a by-election? For all 17 CLP seats?
Territorians want their money back!
