The eight assistant ministers announced for the CLP Government will not be paid extra for their assistant ministerial work, Chief Minister Lia Finocchiaro said.

Ms Finocchiaro announced on Monday that her eight backbenchers would all become assistant ministers. On the same day, she announced that Independent MLA Robyn Lambley had been endorsed as Speaker of the Legislative Assembly.
