A man and woman who allegedly carried out “significant fraud across multiple states and territories” and planned to illegally flee the country with forged documents have been arrested at a Darwin hotel with an unlicensed firearm and drugs, NT Police said.
The NT Joint Organised Crime Task Force arrested and charged the 24-year-old male and 22-year-old female with a string of offences following a national operation investigating their alleged fraudulent activities across the country.
