Alice Springs Town Council is encouraging residents to participate in the first Jobs Expo that will showcase employment opportunities for individuals looking for work across the community.

The Alice Springs Town Council Jobs Expo will be held on Friday, July 29 on the Council Chamber lawns.

Managers and senior staff from all Council business units will be on hand to meet with job seekers to discuss career opportunities.

“Council offers a range of unique and exciting career opportunities and we wanted to find a way to showcase that to the community,” CEO Robert Jennings said. “This Expo will allow members of the community to engage with council staff directly, ask questions and learn about life at council.”

The Expo also features three workshops to provide jobseekers helpful tools in looking for jobs that include: How to Write a Resume, Tips and Ideas for Interviews and Employment Workshop for Visa Holders.

“Alice Springs Town Council has a vision for Alice Springs, a place that connects and empowers residents. If you want to be a part of that vision, we would love to see you at the Expo,” Mr Jennings said.
