Alice Springs’ top cop James Gray-Spence went on sudden leave less than 48 hours after the town’s “emergency situation” was declared last week, and shortly after Police Commissioner Michael Murphy said his southern commander was “getting on with his job” while embroiled in the joint NT Police – ICAC investigation into racism.
Mr Gray-Spence had been an acting assistant commissioner and is the officer in charge of Southern Command based in Alice Springs, but his name was not included as one of three new assistant commissioners announced on Wednesday afternoon.
Oh those two bright lights you saw Mr Gray-Spence were the bus you have been thrown under remember what it was like when you were a constable and all the boss’s were pricks welcome back how does it feel
PFES is a boys club!
Your either in the club or your not!
Yep the sacrificial lamb. And should have been promoted to Assistant Commissioner in this last round instead of the 5 minute Commander. JGS, a nicer bloke you’d go far to find.
You need to go a long way to find a better copper, or a finer person than JGS. He is universally admired within the Police.
Wait so is half the public service on leave!
Estimates is coming!
