Wait Wait Wait! This is a Tax payer funded business venture (from the initial loan to build the premises) that competes comercially with many small parap and Ludmilla based businesses in the immediate area as well as generally across the inner Darwin area!
It is not a viable operation so instead of trading insolvent, the Government props it up with borrowed government monies, unlike many closed Hospitality businesses that where not politically connected to the ALP such as: Phat Mango, Happy Hearts, Palmerston Sports Club AKA The Hub, Go Sushi , The Busy Bee Cafe ,Aurora Kakadu Resort, Orrcon ,Toyworld ,Mitchell’s camping,Boost Juice Darwin,cha time ,globetrotters, Rorkes, Melaleuca on Mitchell , value inn, Pina Furniture Betta, Cellarmasters, Salt &Pepper, Zoot, Country Classics, Cameo, Carla, Pulp Fiction,Mex Fresh just to name a few.

Also, when looking at the DTC financials, does the club still pay for all expense trips to southern race meetings for their board members, or pay to fly up board members from southern turf clubs?
No wonder the government debt keeps expanding when they throw good money after bad.
