Police are offering a $250,000 reward for information leading to the location of Angie Fuller, who went missing on a remote road outside of Alice Springs nine months ago, and who authorities believe has been murdered.

Commander Peter Kennon said in a statement on Monday morning that Ms Fuller was last seen on the evening of January 9, travelling on the Tanami Rd, about 15km west of the Stuart Hwy intersection, and police were now offering the $250,000 reward for information leading to the location of the 30-year-old mother of two.

He also told a press conference that people who provided police with information may be granted indemnity from prosecution, with the Major Crime Squad investigating what they believe was a murder.

Ms Fuller’s partner, who she was travelling with her at the time, is in a Queensland prison but police do not have a suspect or person of interest in her presumed murder, Cmdr Kennon told the media.

“We understand that there is the person that she was with at the time, who was her partner, is currently incarcerated in another jurisdiction,” he said.

“He’s certainly someone we have been speaking to as part of the investigation, as you would expect.

“There’s certainly a number of leads that police are pursuing. We’re not in a position to discuss the nature of those leads, but there certainly is a number of things that which police continue to follow up and investigate.

“It has now been exactly nine months since Ms Fuller was last seen and our investigators remain focussed on establishing what happened to Angie, where she is and who, or what, is responsible for her disappearance.

“We believe that there may be information that the public may have where they may not on first instance think that it may be relevant. I know that Angie’s family are extremely distraught and want some answers in regards to her disappearance.

“Somebody knows what happened to Angie and we will not stop investigating until we find her. This case will not be closed until we can provide closure to her family.”

Police describe Ms Fuller as having Asian heritage, and being about 165cm tall, with a medium build and long black hair with purple streaks. She was last seen wearing a black T-shirt and a beige skirt.

Cmdr Kennon said detectives will place large signs advertising the reward around Alice Springs, particularly around the Tanami Rd, over the coming days.

Police conducted a two week land and air search of 380sq km of the area around where she went missing, following her disappearance.

If you have information you can call police on 131 444, or report it anonymously to Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
