The NT Government have people paid for certain functions, why is the Mayor spending Rate Payer resources to mimic those functions? The recent media release is that City of Darwin has located Indonesian workers to fill the local hospitality jobs. Those jobs are already filled by backpackers and by people located by the NT Government. Backpackers have left Darwin after several unsuccessful weeks of looking for work and have move to rural and remote parts of Australia to fulfill there visa extension objectives. In sum, thanks Kon, but we do not need the Indonesian workers, too little, too late. Can Kon, if he has time, please focus on Roads, Rates and Rubbish? I note the Rates have increased somewhat to pay for all this delusion. 2.5% increase for 2021/22 5% increase for 2023/24

Waterfront land should be incorporated under the City of Darwin Municipality as promised by 2006 NTG ALP CM Clare Martin & ALP Minister for Lands Kon Vatskalis on 28/08/2006. Independent Gerry Wood & CLP Shadow CM Jodeen Carney fought for the rights of the Waterfront residents being maintained under the public municipality as crown land.
On 16/11/2015 NTG CLP CM Adam Giles, Lands Minister Dave Tollner & cohort along with LNP Treasurer Scott Morrison leased the Darwin Port to the CCP for 99 years where $506m went missing in NTG General Revenue according to DCM CEO Jodie Ryan? The 2013-16 DWC Chair Graeme Lewis and ALP Michael Gunner supported the lease of an Australia Strategic Military Asset which has compromised the physical and cyber safety of Waterfront residents & yet all questions are denied by the DWC Management & Board even though on 31/10/2022 CoD LM Vatskalis was interviewed on ABC 4Corners advising he supported the USA President Joe Biden parking 6 x 52 Bombers on Tindal Base. What geopolitical side is Mr Vatskalis on? Does Vatskalis support the One Belt One Road Initiative or AUKUS because if WWIII starts Darwin Waterfront residents could be compromised first as Coonawarra Naval Base is within viewing distance?
Halikos Northcrest is not-an-incorporated area so why are the CoD rate payers paying for maintenance? Is this fair to rate payers as CoD levies increase.
When Councils become politicised democracy dies and rate payers are treated like fools; more transparency is needed as the CCP is a totalitarian system and the USA are war-mongering which could compromise Australians lifestyle.
I am bewildered as to how and why residents of Darwin even elected Mr Vatskalis, given his underwhelming tenure as local MP.
