Opposition Labor Leader Selena Uibo secretly met with former Labor deputy chief minister and current Tamboran Resources vice-president Nicole Manison at the company’s Beetaloo Sub-basin operations south of Daly Waters in late May for discussions that Ms Uibo will not disclose, while claiming she drove the more than 600km round-trip outside of her electorate for the meeting and did not accept flights or other gifts from the company.
‘A crisis for vulnerable families’: Darwin short-stay accommodation to close after lease talks fail
The Finocchiaro Government’s “devastating” decision to close the YiSSA short-stay accommodation facility in Darwin within 90 days will leave almost 400 vulnerable Territorians without accommodation, the organisation running the facility says, while Children and Families Minister Robyn Cahill said the government could not justify the cost of renewing the lease and promised no one would be left without a bed, but is yet to develop a plan for housing people.
