  1. This Mouthpiece Chief minister has got to go!
This whole charade is as pungent to the nose as when Fyles publicly stated the Howard springs facility damage was fair wear and tear” or words to that effect!
How could someone with a mouth like the Chief minister, kiss loved ones after stating “ You absolutely failed,” she said to Ms Uibo. “So don’t come in here and tell us how we should be doing transparency better, from a government that lacked integrity.”
    Have a great day

  2. Carefull Daz, the CLP mobbing team on the fifth floor will jump your bones with comments like that!

On that note, I wonder if the CLP mobbing team on the fifth floor need permission from their CEO/Commissioner of Public Employment before commenting on government issues like the 28000 other public servants require?

So Integrity and Transparency are concepts floated by politicians only while in opposition, which the current Chief Minister, when in very quiet opposition for 8 years, used to bring up ad nauseum.

When its their turn to lead, I think they instantly learn how painfull Integrity and Transparency is to implement and how it will stop Government from ramming projects through!

  3. Good afternoon Carolyn,

In my opinion the issue sits firmly in the fact that there is rampant inability throughout the NTPS from management through to the executive levels!
Just 3 important findings l will list:
    (1) persons that are within the above mention positions currently in the NTPS fear exposure when positions are filled with persons with knowledge and experience.
    (2) Criteria levels are not commensurate with like positions within state governments
    (3) It’s becoming more evident that there is a common link tying these existing NTPS persons in positions as mentioned above.
Bullying and groupthink poor culture is rampant and this is a pure indication of poor management and higher authority.
Keep them insecure and fearful and control you will have!
I describe the Territory like this:
A child is given $5, he goes to the shop and buys $5 worth of lollies- The money has no worth easy come easy go!
Another child works cleaning the cars, mowing the lawn etc and earns $5. To the shop and after carefully studying price and value buys $1-2 worth of lollies, best value and has some money left for next time- Each dollar earns was toil as such the money has worth!
A state is like a married couple, each ratifying every spent dollar in the family budget-Sitting party is 1/2 of couple and opposition is other 1/2.-Accountability, compliance and safeguarding!- State can only spend what it can earn!
The Territory is a single person receiving money with little or no controls- no effort to earn easy come easy go!
I firmly believe there is an under current of understanding and agreement made along time ago between the CLP and Labor, that both can be winners regardless of election outcomes!
If this is the case then this is the greatest most significant fraud against the territory people whom greet the ballot paper supporting, by choice, a party they believe seperate and opposed to all others!
The CLPLABOR party is l believe alive and breathing- WHY?
Because when simplicity of thought in assessing a known situation would and should have seen a complete 180 degree turn around of governing deliverance post election!
Strong arguments for change would have been presented during campaigning not just mention of A Plan!
The NTPS audited to track towards compliance, best person for the job, accountability and a refreshing change to the long existent poor culture.
The Kirkmans, Bergs, MacClintocks and a plethora of other poor performers would be seated within inability proceedings!
ICAC would have been reviewed with fresh invigorated blood and funding to drive the whole shit show towards something more family friendly!
Palmerston council, the Tracey 50th shamizzle would have been dealt with swiftly.
It’s a very poor show as at the time of writing, there is change brewing, one can feel it!
The ALPCLP mouthpiece speaks of high consultancy costs, l would also add the exorbitant expenditure on legal counsel-Hunt and Hunt lawyers. More importantly the fact that Hunt and Hunt lawyers then engage specialist lawyers outside of the Territory!
One must clearly question at what level do these high paid government department executives exercise the very basics of competence in capacity to perform. It appears evident the mindset has drenched the very foundations of “ best person for job” towards non- existent policy and the cultivated NORM is “ Ask an external consultant or lawyer to do their job”!
Yes it’s not just blame mitigation it’s a real jumping castle of “ Dumb and dumber”!
NTPS may as well terminate all their lawyers and that could help Sydney based Hunt and Hunt lawyers further prosper!
The fair work commission sees far to many cases that should never have seen the light of day all because of stupidity and ignorance and dare l say a good chunk of Bully.
Look at Lia “ Burke” Finnochiaro’s apparent favour of Andrew Kirkman- a proven example of not only inability but also signatory to massive spends on legal costs such as the Maria Rust case!
You go girl your baking your way to the good bye, shortest term Chief minister ever dance!
    Keep well
    Daz

  4. Even in opposition, Selena Ouibo still advocates for ineffective and needless duplication of services as a means to pretend she is doing something, and Kat McNamara need only ask her hubby to know which people from the gas industry have been meeting with Ministers.

Organisations such as the Minerals Council of Australia (MCA), the Electrical Trades Union (ETU), and Hospitality NTplay pivotal roles in advocating for their respective industries through lobbying efforts. These entities engage in various activities to influence public policy, legislation, and regulatory frameworks to benefit their members. It’s these reason they exist, so why would anyone be surprised to learn they are engaging with politicians?

As for political donations, a public register already exists, and it is updated quarterly on the NT Electoral Commission website.
