NT Police and Fire and Rescue Services are investigating the cause of a major structure fire in Humpty Doo overnight that saw a shipping container, two buses, two caravans, a car and a shade structure fully engulfed in flames.

NTFRS said their crews received a call about the blaze on Redcliffe Road around 1am Friday morning.

Crews from Palmerston and the Berrimah Fire Stations found the items fully engulfed in flames when they arrived and worked through the night to bring the fire under control.

No injuries were reported and the fire did not spread to adjoining properties.

“The cause of the fire is under investigation and members from the NTFRS Fire Investigation team remain on the scene this morning with NT Police,” said acting Deputy Fire Chief Brendon Magnoli in a statement.

“Thank you to the crews who responded and worked to extinguish the fire and avoid any further damage tot he surrounding properties.
